Spirituál Kvartet is a group directly connected to the legendary Czechoslovak folk band Spirituál Kvintet. The continuity with this ensemble, which has significantly influenced the domestic music scene for more than sixty years, is ensured not only by the return to the original historical name but also by the participation of Jiří Holoubek and Veronika Součková, long-time members of Spirituál Kvintet. They have joined forces with two other outstanding musicians: singer, composer, banjo player, steel guitar player, and double bassist Zbyňek Bureš, and guitarist, singer, and owner of a captivating bass voice Jan Janda. Spirituál Kvartet humbly, respectfully, and gratefully builds on the legacy of their predecessors, which they naturally continue to develop with their own sound and interpretation of not only pieces tested by decades but also new original repertoire.
