Antonín Dvořák A Joyful Journey to the Roots Premiere 1. 11. 2024 Last Season 2025/2026 The magical stage poem by Martin Šinták and Tomáš Ondřej Pilař will take you into the world of Dvořák's Slavonic Dances as a full-length dance performance. Both cycles of this sparkling symphonic music reflecting the diversity of Czech folk culture in its joyful, dramatic, and melancholic shades once opened the way for its author to Europe. The poetic production draws from traditional folkloric elements, which it composes into an impressive theatrical mosaic. Join the ballet, children's ballet, and a large symphonic orchestra on a journey to the roots. External performers include: Jakub Jan Černý, Filip David, Vít Kolář, Lukáš Slepička. Children's roles: Řehořová Marie, Valasová Viktorie, Shandarová Darija, Shandarová Kateryna, Blažková Anna, Hochová Zuzana, Hrubá Kristýna, Hořejší Hana, Hornychová Leontýna, Tutter Tobiáš, Dvořák Kryštof, Molana Samuel, Krejčí Adam. The production program in online form can be found HERE. Slavonic Dances has become the most successful production of 2024. The project is realized with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture. We cordially invite you to the "Meeting with the Creators," during which you will learn more about the production and its creation. We start half an hour before the performance. Admission to the meeting with the creators is included in the ticket price. The performance lasts 100 minutes with an intermission.
