Description
Four times a year, four slam poets compete in four disciplines and fight for the laurel of victory and the favor of the audience. Join us as the Cappella transforms into an Olympic stadium and word athletes, storytellers, language acrobats, and tongue twisters face off! Here's the starting list for the 27th Slam-OLYMP: Stefanie Grob is a queen of spoken word. She has been shaping the scene decisively for a quarter of a century: first as a poetry slammer, soon as a satirist («Zytlupe», Radio SRF 1), and cabaret artist. Her third book, «Hochleischtigserholig», will be published in autumn 2026. In 2026, she really cleaned up: Karla Lamesic is not only the newly crowned Swiss champion in individual poetry slam but also secured the team competition title! Her texts hit the nerve of the times with surgical precision. With enormous depth, linguistic finesse, and a sharp eye for social and political attitudes, she captivates the audience from the first second. Whether texts composed entirely of binary code numbers, sharp criticism of our society, or brilliantly witty wordplay: Rafa Marti delivers poetry that is political, highly pointed, and at the same time makes you laugh and think. Experiencing Rafa means experiencing word art at the highest level. Not without reason has Rafa repeatedly reached the finals of major individual and team slams – including with «Die Pöbel-Populistinnen». Benedikt Meyer digs up all sorts of curiosities from the treasure chests of history. The historian is convinced: our ancestors were just as clumsy, curious, quirky, and lovable as we are. He tells about this in his programs under the label «Historisches Kabarett», currently «Plusquamperfekt» (back on the Cappella stage on January 7, 2027). To ensure the athletes start smoothly, the moderation duo of slam poet Jovana Nikic and cabaret artist Matthias Kunz takes care of the start.
