Description

Simon Enzler is "zmetztinne." Too old to be considered a newcomer, too young to be an old-timer, he stands at a decisive point in his life. He is turning 50. And because he has been on stage since he was a tender 15-year-old, he now looks back over three and a half decades as an attentive observer and eloquent regular at the pub table. How does he see himself, his profession, and his environment? How does one deal with the signs of fading youth and increasing diopters? How does one stay on course in the whitewater of the present? How much future is still in it? No one knows.

Enzler rows. And has been for years. But that is exactly what gives him confidence. Because even though a rower inevitably looks backward, he still moves forward.
