SHEARWATER (USA) + LOMA (USA) + ANY KIND (USA)

Description

Loma and Shearwater seem almost destined to tour together. Both groups feature composer Jonathan Meiburg and engineer/producer Dan Duszynski among their members; they both have roots in Austin, Texas; and they are both represented by the Seattle label Sub Pop. Each group also has a third member named Emily (Emily Lee in Shearwater, Emily Cross in Loma). However, the two formations differ profoundly. Cross's calm and enveloping voice is at the heart of Loma, whose hypnotic and pastoral debut album, released in 2018, was worlds apart from Shearwater's very extroverted Jet Plane and Oxbow, released the previous year. Since then, each group has released two additional albums: after their self-titled debut, Loma released Don't Shy Away (2020), followed by How Will I Live Without A Body? (2023), while Shearwater released The Great Awakening (2022) and the very recent The New World (2026). However, neither group has performed live since 2018, and together the six musicians are preparing to embark on a European tour. Dan Duszynski will open the concerts with his solo project Any Kind. A very special lineup and an indie rock program that we are excited to bring to you at PTR in November 2026.

Shearwater and Loma, both hailing from Austin, Texas, will embark on a European tour together. This concert at Post Tenebras Rock in Geneva marks their return to the stage after several years, showcasing their unique sounds and recent albums.
