“BREAK NORMS, SOUND LOUD” – this is how the band Sex Shop Mushrooms describes itself. The band originating from Pigalle was founded at the end of 2022. With a mix of cutting guitar riffs, explosive drums, and a possessed, angry voice, Sex Shop Mushrooms is a band that is free from any artistic influences and dedicates itself to a movement that goes beyond the traditional codes of punk. The band performed on the main stage of the Xtreme Fest and in several legendary Parisian clubs (La Boule Noire, Point Éphémère). After 80 concerts across France, the band has attracted the attention of a large part of the French grunge scene. With half a million streams, three singles featured on various editorial playlists (France & worldwide), and on several radio stations, the band is returning with their second album, characterized by raw energy, composed for the stage, and addressing various themes, both personal and societal. Mixed and mastered by Jack Endino (Nirvana, SoundGarden, Mudhoney), it places the band directly into the listener's space, combining aggressive sounds with raw production.
