In the documentary performance "Sein oder Schein," seven masked "guests" engage in a surreal dialogue with the city. Poetically, critically, and with subtle humor, they address questions of migration, belonging, women's rights, and love. The city itself guides the evening – a voice seeking conversation, honest, curious, demanding. But proximity is complicated: cultures, desires, and expectations clash, misunderstandings open up, contradictions remain. Why does the city want to meet its residents? And why do the residents engage in this conversation? What do they want from each other? "Sein oder Schein" invites an encounter that is as fragile as it is necessary.
