schön & gut - Under the Open Sky

Description

Only once every 50 years is the open-air play "Die Blutbuche" performed in Grosshöchstetten, and only on a single evening each time, because at the end of the play, the tree is cut down. Now it's that time again, and the whole village is caught up in theater fever. However, director Frau Gut soon reaches her limits, as Gemeindepräsident Kellenberger – in the role of the freedom hero Wüthrich – refuses to be told anything, the extras Hans and Heiri say a lot but always the wrong thing, and Herr Schön – as Vogt Hünigwald – is already tired of dwelling on old traditions. In other words: everyone talks past each other and rides past each other. The seventh act of schön & gut once again brings witty satire, boundless imagination, wordplay, singing, and lots of flying role changes. And perhaps, at the end, a completely new story.
