«Schillernde Blasen» | Book Club «Nur Mut»

Description

A book club on the theme of fear: Why are stories that touch us deeply so fascinating? What can we learn from them? Without fuss, Annik Hosmann (Readtreat), Fabian Weingartner (Silent Reading Rave), and Nicole Schmid (Litar) present selected books in which fear becomes the driving force of the plot. Whether graphic novel, story, memoir, or dark family epic, the selected books explore different facets of fear — from everyday psychological burdens to experiences of loss to supernatural horror. Book selection (reading before the event is voluntary): Nando von Arb, «Fürchten lernen» (Edition Moderne 2023) Friedrich Glauser, «Damals in Wien» (Limmat Verlag 2009) Michelle Zauner, «Tränen im Asiamarkt». Translated into German by Corinna Rodewald (Ullstein Taschenbuch 2022) Mariana Enriquez, «Unser Teil der Nacht».
