Description

On September 12, 2026, visitors aged 12 and above can immerse themselves in the craft of Roman blacksmithing at the Legionärspfad Vindonissa. In guided sessions, pairs of participants will learn to forge a Roman stylus from iron and build a wooden wax tablet, under the supervision of a Roman blacksmith or smithess. The event offers a hands-on experience of ancient craftsmanship in a reconstructed Roman forge, with prior booking required for each pair. The activity runs from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, providing an engaging historical activity suitable for families and history enthusiasts.
