Romancero Queer takes us behind the scenes of a theater where a troupe is rehearsing. Under the invisible direction of a director who wants to 'queer' Federico García Lorca's The House of Bernarda Alba, tensions build and tongues loosen. Amidst confessions, disputes, bursts of laughter, and strong opinions, the performers reveal their vulnerabilities. The text, both raw, tender, and political, explores queer identities, social struggles, and the necessity of reinventing ourselves together. Virginie Despentes presents a character-driven comedy, an electric platform where theater looks in the mirror to denounce its own abuses of power. From the ex-convict to the cabaret star, from political rage to wounded love, each voice carries the breath of an era that refuses to be silent. A vibrant ode to the collective.
