The German-Austrian actor and musician transforms Tucholsky's poems into unique song pearls between indie pop and folk, – "with a crooked and shy sparkle of utopian hope in the left eye" (Robert Stadlober) - and takes the listener on a journey: It's about the impossibilities of human interaction, in love matters as well as in matters of hate, it's about the senselessness of violence and the hopelessness of politics, which seeks to communicate through violence. And last but not least, it's about the longing for a kind of true life and the eternal struggle of many for a small piece of the whole. Maybe we just lack the right perspective to finally step out of the confusing and bewildering circles of self and world events and steer everything onto new paths? Robert Stadlober's view of life and the world points in an initial and simultaneously refreshingly enthusiastic direction. Under the title "If we are not cruel once, then we immediately believe we are good," Robert Stadlober has published his clever, profound selection of Tucholsky poems in the Verbrecher-Verlag, and his eponymous LP has been released by "Staatsakt." ROBERT STADLOBER, born in 1982 in Friesach, is a multiple award-winning German-Austrian actor, musician, and author. He is known for numerous roles in cinema and television films. With HEYM, his band project together with Klara Deutschmann and Daniel Moheit, he set Stefan Heym's poems to music. V.
