Description
How does one continue living when everything that makes up their life suddenly no longer applies? Marina Vidovic tells her incredible but true story about an embryo swap that leads two sisters on a shocking search for their identity. By chance, Marina's sister Kristina discovers that she cannot be related to her parents due to her blood type. The truth is even more shocking: it turns out that a foreign embryo was implanted in the mother's birth clinic, and Marina is also affected – she was created as a random genetic mix in a test tube. Although she is the daughter of the mother, the identity of the father cannot be determined at this time. A biographical narrative that sheds light on responsibility and power in medical everyday life and also provides a socio-political analysis. A powerful plea for the right to one's own story and the importance of identity in a complex world.
