Description

Alone in her room, a little girl thinks about her grandmother, Oba-san, and her comforting presence. As she succumbs to melancholy, her imagination seems to come alive before her eyes. Like magic, her grandmother appears and begins to fold a simple sheet of paper. In her hands, the paper gradually transforms into a delicate bird. Then other shapes are born and come to populate the girl's room. Inspired by the Japanese art of origami, this show combines paper theater, poetry, and storytelling to bring to life a universe filled with astonishing creatures and touching stories. With its 'dreams of paper,' Pascal Guéran invites children and adults on an imaginary journey full of gentle wonder, where just a few sheets of paper are enough to create an entire world.
