Description

Claudine lives alone, apart from the world, in an apartment where disorder tells as much about her life as her memories. She has chosen this solitude and is keen to preserve her independence. However, her niece Marianne refuses to remain a spectator. Driven by the desire to protect her, she takes numerous steps and considers placing her in a retirement home. Through the daily lives of these two women, the play questions our relationship with old age and autonomy. How far can we decide for someone in the name of their well-being? When do help and protection become a form of control? And above all, can we still choose how to live when others believe they know what is best for us? Faced with this pressure, Claudine clings to what still belongs to her: her home, her habits, her memories, and her ability to decide. With humor, fragility, and determination, she tries to preserve her world and, above all, her right to be the actress of her own life.
