In the autumn program of the John Sheppard Ensemble, everything revolves around the theme "Bell Sounds." The spectrum ranges from bells in their (life-)structuring function (wedding bells, evening tolls, death knells) to the symbolic meaning of bell sounds (e.g., for lost / distant homeland) to more technical approaches such as English "Change Ringing," Pärt's "Tinntinabuli" style, or sound experiments by Wolfram Buchenberg.
