Featuring works by Bach, Auerbach, Brahms, Strohl, and Boulanger, Julian Riem already performed in January 2026 at the Kloster Concerts in St. Blasien. In this concert, he performs with his duo partner Raphaela Gromes on cello. The performances of Raphaela Gromes and Julian Riem are celebrated as perfect duets: “Indeed, the two redefine instrumental duetting in their own way: Gromes and Riem create chamber music in a symbiotic manner,” raves “Die Presse” after their debut at the Wiener Konzerthaus. Since 2016, Raphaela Gromes has been an exclusive artist with Sony Classical, and her award-winning albums have received honors such as the Opus Klassik, the Diapason d’Or, and the German Record Critics' Award, topping the German classical charts. With her successful album Femmes (2023), which gathers works by 24 female composers, she gained worldwide attention and made an artistic statement for the visibility of female composers.
