Dokwerk Saxophon Quartet

Description

With works by Wilson, Ligeti, Debussy, and Shostakovich, Lisa Schreiber hails from Löffingen and received her first saxophone lessons at the Hochschwarzwald Music School. She studied saxophone in Amsterdam and founded the saxophone quartet Dokwerk with Jen-Hong Wu, Ilena Termini, and Pedro Silva. Rooted in diverse cultures and driven by a shared artistic spirit, Dokwerk aims to secure a prominent place for the classical saxophone in today's and tomorrow's music. Known for their infectious energy and fearless musicality, Dokwerk regularly wins awards at international chamber music competitions. Highlights include: 1st prize in the chamber music category at the Vítor Santos International Competition 2021 (Portugal), 1st prize at the Italian Contemporary Music Competition Reate (Italy), as well as 1st prize and the podium prize at the Dutch Kamermuziek Concours Gelre 2022 (Netherlands). In 2025, they won the audience award at the Schiermonnikoog Festival. Dokwerk captivates audiences with performances full of temperament and surprises.
