With works by Mozart, Tchaikovsky. The Camerata St. Blasien is making its debut with this concert, sponsored by the Sparkasse St. Blasien. The chamber orchestra consists of selected musicians from the immediate and wider surroundings of St. Blasien. For the premiere of the new string orchestra, the internationally renowned pianist Edith Fischer was engaged as a soloist. As quoted in the Swiss newspaper 'Neue Zürcher Zeitung', Edith Fischer, a true student of Claudio Arrau, seems to embody the extraordinary and fortunate example of a student whose talent and character reflect that of her teacher to such an extent that it borders on the miraculous.
