With milestones like "Operation: Mindcrime" and "Empire," the band made music history and influenced generations of metal and prog musicians. Queensrÿche also repeatedly prove live why they are still among the best in the genre today. Queensrÿche burst into the music scene in 1982 with the release of their self-titled 4-song EP. They quickly gained international recognition and played sold-out shows worldwide. With their first album "The Warning" in 1984 and the groundbreaking "Rage For Order" in 1986, Queensrÿche cemented their global dominance as one of the most creative bands of the 80s. In 1988, Queensrÿche released another monumental album, "Operation: Mindcrime," which became one of the top ten best-selling concept albums of all time and laid the foundation for further sold-out concerts worldwide. With the release of the critically acclaimed and commercially successful album "Empire" in 1991, the band received several Grammy nominations and won the MTV "Viewers Choice Award" for the number-one hit "Silent Lucidity." In the following years, the band released more albums and toured around the world. Queensrÿche has sold over 30 million albums to date and continues to push their creative process forward. They built a loyal fan base by touring with other rock giants like Iron Maiden, Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, Judas Priest, and Def Leppard. In recent years, they have consistently delivered top-tier live shows, combining the unbridled energy of a new band with the experience of countless concert tours. With eleven gold and platinum awards and several top-10 hard rock anthems, which are inseparably linked to the genre, Queensrÿche shows no signs of slowing down.
