PROG AROUND THE WORLD The British retro-prog band Big Big Train is coming to Pratteln in autumn 2026. With the comprehensive concert recording "Are We Nearly There Yet? – Live Around The World," the band released a captivating documentation of their recent tours in October 2025. On the upcoming European tour, the band will present songs from all creative phases of their three and a half decades long career again. Big Big Train still demonstrate the highest productivity even after 35 years: for 10 years, at least one studio and/or live album has been released every year. The quantity does not diminish the quality. The musicians' creativity remains unbroken. Founded in Bournemouth in 1990, Big Big Train have become internationally successful protagonists of the progressive rock genre with 17 studio albums and various EPs and live releases, boasting high international chart positions (#1 in the British rock charts), several prestigious awards (4-time winners of the Progressive Music Awards), and countless sold-out concerts. Big Big Train stay true to their roots but also explore new paths. They incorporate influences from various genres and establish themselves as skilled boundary-crossers between pop, rock, and prog in the style of English bands from the early 70s. In September 2023, Big Big Train were last with us at Z7 on their "The Journey Continues Tour." In October 2025, the live recording "Are We Nearly There Yet? – Live Around The World" followed, documenting the Brits' fantastic concerts of recent years. Gregory Spawton and exceptional singer Alberto Bravin selected the best recordings from past tours.
