Michelle enjoys her twilight years in a picturesque village in Burgundy, foraging for mushrooms in the woods with her longtime friend and driving her to the prison where her son is incarcerated. She has a strained relationship with her own daughter, Valérie, but loves her grandson dearly. When the little one is supposed to spend the school holidays with her, a scandal erupts, resulting in Michelle being unable to see her grandson anymore. Lonely and filled with guilt, she falls into a depression. Until her friend's son is released from prison...
