35 YEARS OF PRO-PAIN: NEW ALBUM – OLD RAGE The NY-Hardcore legends Pro-Pain are rocking again. For the band's 35th anniversary, guitarist Eric Klinger has returned. Additionally, with the album "Stone Cold Anger," there is finally new Pro-Pain music. The hefty new record shows that the band, led by singer/bassist Gary Meskil, has not lost any of its original power and the unbridled rage of the early days. Surpassing oneself with each new album is probably the biggest challenge for a band, especially after eleven years since the last release and a predecessor that made quite an impact. To achieve this ambitious goal, Pro-Pain brought back their former guitarist Eric Klinger. The two pre-release singles from the new album "Stone Cold Anger" (release: May 15, 26) have already shown that Pro-Pain does not need to worry about their reputation as an exceptional phenomenon of the New York hardcore scene. Since their groundbreaking debut album "Foul Taste Of Freedom," which was nominated for various awards in the early nineties, the uncompromising band founded by Gary Meskil has earned the affection and respect of countless fans worldwide and is rightly regarded as a true hardcore metal legend today. All albums are hard to top in terms of intensity, inspiration, and honesty. And the latest work is no exception to its predecessors. After a long hiatus, the hardcore heavyweights are loudly returning with their 16th album. On their debut with Napalm Records, the scene icons show their most explosive side: "Stone Cold Anger" is, true to its title, angry and weighs ton heavy. Pro-Pain has not lost any of their strength. Unusually catchy, the new album features gripping melodies with both provocative and hymn-like vocals, making the new songs worthy successors to the 3.5 million streamed hit "Voice Of Rebellion" (2015). The long-awaited work opens with the hard-hitting "Oceans Of Blood," an energetic track that immediately confirms that Pro-Pain is unstoppable even after three and a half decades. Gary Meskil and his musicians remain musical and political idealists, who have not deviated from their merciless stance.
