Description

While his parents are out, a little boy goes on an exploration tour in the attic. He finds not only an orchestra hiding there but also a box full of toys – including the book "Peter and the Wolf". Little Peter lives with his grandfather in the countryside. At the end of a long winter, Peter meets his cat, the excited chirping bird, and the slightly confused duck in the garden. He is admonished by his grandfather to always keep the garden gate closed, because the forest begins right behind the garden – where the wolf lives! But a boy like Peter is not afraid of wolves... For the young and young-at-heart concert audience, Theater Pforzheim performs the classic "Peter and the Wolf" by Sergei Prokofiev. His most famous work has been immersing children in the world of music for generations. Through the Baden Philharmonic, the different characters sound: What does it sound like when Peter hops through the garden? How can a sneaking cat be represented on an instrument? And what does the waddling of the duck sound like? With the well-known texts by Loriot, the exciting story is told of how Peter and the other animals grow beyond themselves. The audience is also actively involved: children can playfully get to know the characters and their characteristic instruments.
