THEATERTAGE - COMPETITION This year, Pauline Schönfelder is as old as her parents were when the country they were born into simply disappeared. But how to tell a story about something one has not experienced firsthand? Schönfelder invites to a concert and a cold buffet. In her wildest imagination, she reimagines the GDR to find out what it tastes and sounds like when it no longer exists. Time and again, she writhes with shame over her own ignorance, over the gap between narration, imagination, and experience. OST (Original Soundtrack) is a culinary concert performance and a communal negotiation of what has been deeply inscribed as emotional heritage. Everyday life, anecdotes, and autofiction feed the soundtrack of the collective question mark of an entire generation and point far beyond at the end. Funded by the Hamburg Authority for Culture and Media (production support), the Hamburg Cultural Foundation, the Claussen Simon Foundation, and the rehearsal space fund of the Dachverband freie Darstellende Künste e. V. Hamburg (DfdK). Supported by the LICHTHOF Theater and the rehearsal stage in Gängeviertel. The HEIDELBERG THEATRE DAYS 2026 are organized by the Free Theater Association Heidelberg e. V. in cooperation with the Karlstorbahnhof e. V., the festival is funded by the City of Heidelberg through the Cultural Office and by the Ministry of Science, Research, and the Arts of Baden-Württemberg through the State Association of Amateur Theater Baden-Württemberg e. V.
