By combining archival footage, film clips, and contemporary images, the director (honorary guest of VDR 2025) transforms the creation story of the famous novel "1984" into a compelling mirror of our time. Driven by a virtuoso montage, the film allows Orwell's words to flow seamlessly into dialogue with our present. More than seventy years after his death, his reflections resonate with disturbing power and relevance.
