Description

The 1970s were a time of upheaval in Switzerland and internationally: a spirit of experimentation profoundly shaped art and society. Starting from the Aarau scene and the Ziegelrain studio community, the exhibition links local, regional, and national positions. Pop Art, Nouveau Réalisme, and conceptual approaches meet in dialogue – with each other and side by side. A special focus is on collective working forms of the time such as studio communities and co-authorship. What can we take away from this awakening fifty years later?
