Public Tour at the State Archive Aargau

Description

For 60 minutes, participants are guided through the premises of the State Archive Aargau. They can get a whiff of the magazine air and gain insight into the stages that paper files of the cantonal administration and private estates go through before they are made accessible to the public in the reading room. In addition to the indexing and preservation of archival material, the State Archive Aargau shows some selected contemporary witnesses that can be discovered in the magazines.

In the event series "Treasures of the Library and Archive Aargau," staff and external experts present unique collections from the Library and Archive Aargau and provide an exciting insight into the history of the Canton of Aargau.
