Open Printing Workshop

Description

The printing studio of the Rote Fabrik is open every week as an open workshop for everyone. Astrid Schmid, a lecturer for printmaking at the F+F School of Art and Design, is available every Wednesday evening in the printing studio for questions and assistance. The printing studio aims to preserve and promote traditional printing and craft art. The studio has various machines and workstations where original prints can be produced using intaglio, relief, and screen printing techniques. The studio was established in 1997 as part of the artists' association of the Rote Fabrik and is now maintained and operated by three volunteers. A fee of 50.– per person is required for using the open workshop. The fee includes a basic amount (10.–/person), a contribution for the supervisors (30.–/person), and a flat rate for material costs (10.–/person).
