Robert Neumann piano Brilliant, agile, captivating! The sound of the trumpet invites good mood. And Sebastian Berner makes this instrument shine especially. He also produces surprisingly gentle tones and wide-ranging melodic arcs. Berner is one of the best in his field: In 2022, he won the International Maurice-André Trumpet Competition in Paris. The pianist Robert Neumann is also a winner of several awards. The two young musicians offer an incredibly colorful program: fantastic with Enescu, wild with Peter Maxwell Davies, contemplative with Gubaidulina, lively with Florent Schmitt, tense with Erlanger, passionate with Glasunow, and equally melodic and virtuosic with Reinhold Glière. And as a small bonus, pianist Robert Neumann also contributes some improvisations and Ravel's lively Sonatina. George Enescu
