Program
The Double Drums Quartet, initiated by Geneva drummer Noé Tavelli, experiments with an unusual lineup of two drums, a double bass, and a saxophone. The group brings together musicians from different generations: on one hand, two renowned figures from the New York scene, Eric McPherson and Ohad Talmor, and on the other, two prominent Swiss musicians, Fabien Iannone and Noé Tavelli. Their music is inspired by jazz legends as well as Afro-Cuban percussion ensembles. In 2026–27, jazz will take center stage at Noda WKB – multifaceted, surprising, and limitless! Seven concerts invite you to explore the diversity of the Western Swiss scene: jazz and improvisation meet Afro-Brazilian rhythms, hip-hop, baroque influences, and contemporary sounds. The Nodathèque will become a lively meeting point for new sounds, unexpected encounters, and music beyond all borders.
