Description

Nik Bärtsch calls the music of Ronin "Ritual Groove Music." The central idea of this style is to achieve maximum impact with minimal means. The members of the group see themselves as "free warriors who dedicate themselves to a common cause." The band Ronin is Nik Bärtsch’s core project. Together, they have already performed in over 50 countries in clubs, institutions, and festivals such as the Lincoln Center New York, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Barbican Centre London, the Wigmore Hall London, the Jazz Festival San Francisco, the Jazzfest Berlin, the Arts Center of the New York University, Abu Dhabi, or the Cape Town International Jazz Festival (Cape Town).
