Directly from Australia and equipped with electrifying energy, the Josh Meader Trio redefines the boundaries between modern jazz guitar and innovative fusion music. Led by Josh Meader – a guitar prodigy and graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with First-Class Honours – the trio strikes the perfect balance between jazz tradition and the latest global trends. Thanks to his lightning-fast phrasing and melodic sensitivity, Meader has become a fixture in the international guitar scene. These qualities have taken him to legendary stages such as Ronnie Scott’s in London, the Montreux Jazz Festival, and JazzAhead in Bremen. Recently, his artistic reputation was further solidified through a high-profile collaboration with the legendary drummer Virgil Donati: together, they reinterpreted Allan Holdsworth’s “City Nights” – a project enthusiastically received by international critics. The trio is completed by two heavyweights of the Australian music scene, both recipients of the prestigious National Jazz Award: Alex Hirlian on drums (2018) and Matt Thomson on keyboards (2021). After his outstanding performance in October 2025 at the CrossRoads Live Club in Rome, the trio returns in 2026 for a second European chapter, which is expected to be one of the most exciting musical events of the year – once again organized by Davide Leoni (MFA MANAGEMENT).
