Něco Něco and Leto s Monikou will combine intimate electronics, gentle melancholy, and strong catchy melodies on one stage in one evening. Monika Omerzu Midriaková first gained significant attention as a musician in the project Monikino Kino, which she founded with Petr Marek from the band Midi Lidi. Their joint debut album Prázdniny was released in 2014 under Slnko Records. Subsequently, Monika began focusing on film and stage music – she received a nomination for the Czech Lion for the soundtrack to the film Všechno bude. In 2018, Monika introduced her solo project Leto s Monikou. The eponymous debut album won the Debut of the Year award in the Slovak Radio_FM (Radio_Head Awards) poll and solidified her position as a prominent authorial personality at the intersection of pop, film, and the independent scene. The band něco něco oscillates genre-wise between indie rock, synth pop, and post-punk. Czech lyrics ensure that their songs will touch you, and on the new album majonéza, you can enjoy them in their hardest yet most entertaining form. Who else can rhyme spotlights and vibrators, write an anthem about PMS, and a touching melancholic song about the first big breakup? Něco něco are funny, sincere, and emotional, both in recordings and at lively concerts.
Něco něco has played at festivals such as Colours of Ostrava, Metronome, Pop Messe, or Slunovrat, and as the opening act for Tata Bojs at the sold-out Fóru Karlín in 2025. The band has released four albums: Začíná (2020), Útržky (2021), for which they were nominated for the Vinyla and Apollo music awards, Třetí (2023), and majonéza (2026).
