DVA is celebrating 20 years, and Dock can't miss it! Two and 20 years of nonexistence. Since 2006, they have been mixing folk, pop, electronics, and techno into an unclassifiable folklore of non-existent nations. Their nonexist pop with live samples has made fans dance from Australia to Ukraine to the USA. The audience understands them well, even when they sing in ciphers of their own language, which they translate into Czech and English. Internationally, DVA has also gained fame for soundtracks to video games for Amanita Design, where they have collaborated with animator Jára Plachý for 15 years (Botanicula, Chuchel, Happy Game). Their debut album Fonók (2008 / Indies Scope) received the first enthusiastic responses and nominations for awards. The following HU (2010 / Label Home Table) won the Anděl award in the alternative music category, and the band toured all over Europe with it. The soundtrack for the game Botanicula (2012 / Minority Rec) won the 'gaming Oscar' – Excellence in Audio Award at IGF in San Francisco. The album Nipomo (2014 / Northern Spy), released in the USA, became the album of the year at the Vinyla awards, and the band toured the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Ukraine, Poland, and Romania with it. In their most active years from 2010 to 2015, DVA appeared on the stages of major festivals such as SXSW (USA), Fusion (DE), Open’er and OFF (PL), Sziget (HU), SKIF (RU), and Eurosonic (NL). They also performed during the protests on Maidan in Kyiv. In 2024, the band returned to the stage after a concert break with the album Piri Piri (2024 / Bumbum Satori), and every concert is a lively dance party where you forget the eerie sense of the end of all worlds.
