Münsterkonzert - The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace

Description

The inaugural concert of the new cathedral choirmaster Andreas Mölder is entirely dedicated to the longing for peace. He has put together a program that combines emotional depth and powerful sound colors. Knut Nystedt's intimate A cappella work "Peace I leave with you" meets the vigorous sounds of Karl Jenkins. In addition to his famous "Peace, peace!" from "The Peacemakers," his world-renowned, compelling mass "The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace" will be performed. To celebrate this special debut, the musical forces of the cathedral music come together in a large ensemble. The Freiburg Cathedral Boys' Choir, the Freiburg Cathedral Choir, the Freiburg Cathedral Chapel, and the cantor's school at Freiburg Minster will perform. The choirs will be accompanied by the Baden-Baden Philharmonic, with alto Veronika Lutz as the soloist. Conducted by Andreas Mölder.
