AHOY, PIRATES! Mr. Hurley & Die Pulveraffen master the balancing act between traditional folk and modern rock sounds once again, releasing brand new sailor songs. With powerful rhythms, catchy melodies, and hearty vocals, the siblings from Osnabrück sail through rough (sea) times. Often humorous, sometimes thoughtful, but always authentic. Since their formation in 2009, Mr. Hurley & die Pulveraffen have established themselves as one of the most successful and original bands in the German folk-rock scene. With a mix of humor, adventure, and powerful music, the band has gained numerous fans across Europe. Their live shows are known for their energy and humor. With their last five albums, Mr. Hurley and die Pulveraffen have consistently ranked at the top of the charts, convincingly demonstrating that they are the undisputed captains of the folk seas. The band regularly releases new studio music every two years. And so, Mr. Hurley (vocals, guitar, mandolin, cello), Buckteeth Bannock (vocals, accordion, piano, flutes), One-eyed Morgan (vocals, cajón, percussion, bodhrán, piano), and Pegleg Peggy (vocals, bass, double bass) will be back in 2027 with new material. With album number nine, the folk freebooters set sail for another musical adventure. The widely acclaimed band, known for its powerful rhythms and catchy melodies, will once again present an explosive mix of celebratory sailor songs, pirate romance, and rough stories from their eventful world in the upcoming album.
