This chamber play transforms Eduard Mörike's world-famous artist novella into a gripping monologue, performed by Matthias Flückiger, showcasing the genius Mozart in the space between zest for life and quiet premonition. On stage, the text merges with a unique musical concept: the piano duo Claire Pasquier and Jensen Ryer, or Grzegorz Fleszar, bring to life masterful works by Mozart for four hands as well as Hugo Wolff's deeply detailed, specially arranged masterpiece "Denk es, oh Seele" (based on a poem by Mörike!) continuously performed four-handed. A dense orchestral synthesis of word and sound emerges in the small theater.
