MIRCO'S SEARCH FOR THE SHADOW

It is well known that children are often afraid of the dark. But Mirco is even afraid of his own shadow. This triggers a playful journey through various rooms where Mirco encounters the most diverse things. The shadow – his dark colleague – seems to be mocking him. It can be found everywhere and nowhere, constantly changing form. Is it really him – or is it someone else? What can it do that Mirco cannot? The shadow is a jack-of-all-trades, a lovable magician. Mirco also wants to have such versatile possibilities, to benefit from the tricks that it can do. Thus, they unexpectedly become best friends. For years, Hansueli Trüb has been working with the theater pack using the means of contemporary shadow theater. He is one of the few in Switzerland who maintains this form of performance: various light sources are moved and used very diversely, and different mobile surfaces made of various materials serve as projection surfaces. His results border on the world of illusion, of magical paradoxes!
