As a Carte Blanche artist, Milan Slick invites you to a series of projects exploring musical encounters from different perspectives. The evening begins with a performance by Bernese writer Pedro Lenz, where literature and music engage in an open dialogue. Based on Lenz's texts, a shared sound space develops where language and music meet, complement, and challenge each other. The music does not accompany the reading in the traditional sense but forms an independent layer: sometimes carrying the narration, sometimes creating contrasts, and sometimes improvising in response to rhythm, mood, and vocal melody. This results in a multi-layered interplay between words and sound, which energizes both forms of expression. An evening that shows how literature can be made audible and music can become narrative.
