Description
In a villa on Zürichberg lives former national councilor Dr. Stotz, surrounded by portraits of a young woman. Melody was once his fiancée, but just before the wedding – over 40 years ago – she disappeared. To this day, Stotz cannot get over it. He tells this story to the young Tom Elmer, who is to organize his estate. Gradually, Tom begins to question whether his boss is really who he claims to be. Together with Stotz's great-niece Laura, he starts investigating, leading to distant places – and into a past where truth and fiction are dangerously close.
Martin Suter has granted the rights to a theatrical adaptation of his novel to the Theater Rigiblick. The play is musically enriched with songs by Stephan Eicher, for which Martin Suter wrote the lyrics.
