Maz and the Phantasms are an energetic psychedelic surf-punk band from Glasgow, formed by Catalan-Egyptian artist Maz and her friends Jamie Sparkles (guitar), Jude Norton-Smith (bass), and Toby Valentine (drums). Born in dives, on DIY tours, and during late-night jam sessions, the band mixes beach-goth guitars, funky basslines, and eerie synthesizers with a touch of spaghetti western flair. Equal parts punk and secondhand glam – their shows are chaotic, sweat-drenched, and full of drama, where rock’n’roll meets queer theatricality and the party always gets a little silly. Rooted in the Glasgow scene, Maz and the Phantasms have carved their way by touring across Europe and performing in squats, living rooms, crust festivals, free parties, and anywhere with a somewhat functioning PA. Their self-titled debut EP captures this raw, unfiltered energy and features the lead single "Voices in My Head," a surf-punk anthem for restless souls dancing to their own rhythm.
