What Connects Us
During the 2026/27 season, the Literaturhaus Graubünden is collaborating with Swiss artist Mats Staub on the participatory art project “In Your Eyes.” An extraordinary experience and a journey through time for two people who have known each other for a long time. Get Involved
People of all ages who have known each other for at least nine years can participate—friends, family members, couples, or kindred spirits. Sitting across from each other in pairs, you’ll look into each other’s eyes. You won’t speak. During this silent encounter, you’ll reflect on your shared history, the present, and what lies ahead. The encounter will be recorded on video. The recordings will take place at the Lettere dalla Svizzera alla Valposchiavo festival. Each session lasts 30 minutes; the video recording takes 3–7 minutes. All participants will receive their video as a free download. The videos may become part of Mats Staub’s art installation “Stille Zeit” (Silent Time): a panorama of human connections that will be exhibited at various locations starting in 2027. General Information

The project 'In Your Eyes' invites pairs who have known each other for at least nine years to engage in silent reflection. Taking place from October 1–3, 2026, at the Lettere dalla Svizzera alla Valposchiavo festival, each session lasts 30 minutes and will be recorded for a future art installation.
