The Literaturhaus Graubünden is realizing the participatory art project «In Your Eyes» with the Swiss artist Mats Staub in the 2026/27 season. An extraordinary experience and a time travel for two people who have known each other for a long time. Participate
People of all ages who have known each other for at least nine years can participate – friends, family members, couples, or chosen relatives. Sitting opposite each other in pairs, you look into each other's eyes. You do not speak. During this silent encounter, you think about your shared history, the present, and what lies ahead. The encounter is recorded on video. The recordings take place at the Lettere dalla Svizzera alla Valposchiavo festival. One session lasts 30 minutes, the film recording 3–7 minutes. All participants receive their video as a download gift. The films can become part of the art installation «Silent Time» by Mats Staub: a panorama of human connections, which will be exhibited at different locations from 2027. Dates: October 1–3, 2026
