Crime atmosphere on the cabaret stage: Mathias Richling ventures to the crime scene Berlin, but also onto international stages, to trace the roots of evil in politics and society with detective intuition. The perpetrators are known, but as in every crime, the question arises whether the perpetrators are sometimes also victims. The new Richling program features, among others, Olaf Scholz, Vladimir Putin, and Donald Trump, whose motives for their actions could not be more different. The list of conviction perpetrators is long: Alice Weidel as a legal advisor, Cem Özedmir as a nutritionist, Greta Thunberg as a world explainer, Robert Habeck as a dagger in disguise, Annalena Baerbock as a hair model, Markus Lanz and Richard David Precht as collateral damage of philosophy, Oliver Pocher as a self-pitying clown, and of course the legendary Swabian comedy duo, no, not Häberle and Pfleiderer, but Winfried Kretschmann and Thomas Strobl. Richling also ruthlessly analyzes the victim side: the voters who no longer know for whom or what they should decide; the taxpayers whose money ends up in the hands of terrorists through dark channels; the "All-Things-Glue" who lose sight of their goals... Richling, celebrated by many critics as the best parodist of the German cabaret scene, always presents his latest observations in a literarily demanding form (there are already master's and doctoral theses about his texts). The director is the author and former SWR presenter Günter Verdin. A critic describes Richling's transformative art as follows: "He doesn't even need a big mask, the change of voice and body posture and the use of a few gestures are enough to recognize whom he sketches and caricatures through humorous and sometimes bizarre exaggeration."
