Marie Ducaté (born in Lille in 1954, lives and works in Marseille) is a versatile artist active since the 1980s. Originally from painting, she explores numerous artistic mediums, from ceramics to glass, including drawing and textiles to create a comprehensive body of work. At the Ariana Museum, the artist transposes the spirit and clues around the arrangement of her studio. The space thus hosts a theater of objects in ceramics, tracing paper, watercolor, textile, and glass, at the intersection of pop culture and art history. Her colorful universe is highlighted with a selection of works that play with a broad chromatic palette, embracing vibrant colors to transparency.
