Songs by Mar Malade are like a vacation in music. Originally born from a small everyday escape of two friends, Mar Malade, consisting of Alexander Hauer and Michèl M. Almeida, has now released three albums "full of summer" and has taken their songs (including »Mexico«, »Cabriolet«, »Jungle«) on concert tours through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Now, the tourist duo is already packing their "towels" for the fourth time, has "reserved" 11 concert halls, and will go on the »Tourist« tour in October 2026. During this, Mar Malade and their multi-instrumental live band will not only present their music, which is sometimes energetic, sometimes danceable, sometimes nostalgic, with unrestrained joy of playing (like only grandma would allow as a child, but she’s the one cooking the sticky-sweet jam) — but also some entertaining and curious moments between the songs. The drummer reads the local press and all the horoscopes for the Steinbocks in the hall, Alexander sings the classic hiking song »Hejo, spann den Wagen an« with the audience, or Michèl, as a »Sportsman«, pantomimes like Helge Schneider across the stage. Thus, each evening of a Mar Malade tour creates a warm, music-filled space full of joy and shared moments for and with their audience.
