In 1962, the then 22-year-old Manfred Mann founded his first band, simply naming it after himself. Mann quickly achieved success with pop music in the charts. By the end of the 1960s, this no longer satisfied the ambitious musician. After a few years of hiatus, he launched his Earth Band, with which he became even more successful. The unique combination of rock music and jazz elements electrified fans all over the world. Manfred Mann left his unmistakable musical stamp on successful songs by other artists. The Earth Band's versions of Bob Dylan's “Blinded By The Light” or “Mighty Quinn” and many others are now classics. And what this star-studded formation delivers live is still top-notch. The current lineup consists of Manfred Mann (keyboards, vocals), Mick Rogers (guitar, vocals), Steve Kinch (bass), John Lingwood (drums), and Robert Hart (vocals).
