This magic will be conjured on stage by the 21st Century Orchestra in June 2027 in the splendid ambiance of the KKL Luzern. This film music concert honors the greatest musical storyteller, whose melodies have long become part of our collective memory. Powerful, touching, and as always with exceptional sonic precision, the 21st Century Orchestra, under the direction of Ludwig Wicki, plays selected film music classics to specially curated film scenes and clips. "A Tribute to John Williams" contains sound worlds from STAR WARS, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Jurassic Park, Schindler's List, Superman, Lincoln, and E.T., which unfold in full size, intimacy, and timeless beauty. The direction and the orchestra, the images and the sound merge into an intense overall experience that awakens memories and rekindles emotions.
