Description
Madre ®
It's never too late for a happy childhood German premiere from the Spanish (translated by Birgit Kirberg). The performance rights of the author are represented by Marta Fluvià Agency. Anna is a successful advertising manager and knows all too well how to craft images of a happy life. A harmonious family must not be missing. But she has never had one herself. By chance, she comes across an ad: "I could be the mother you've always dreamed of." Not a bad idea, she thinks, because she can afford it. She has very specific ideas about the new connection - and then everything turns out completely different from what she planned. The play MADRE® explores how people set out on their own and seek a family - outside of kinship relations. After all, you can choose your true family, our chosen family! At the same time, it is also a play about the unexpected effects of capitalist logic, the business of love, and the invention of new formulas for personal relationships.
